Storytelling is a powerful technique. We’re sometimes told that stories work best in soft contexts, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Storytelling is a particularly good technique when we are talking about complex things. Stories can help simplify, clarify, explain, bring to life and add a personal angle.
Most importantly, storytelling is a skill. You can get as good as you want. If you just practise.
So thank you for all the stories today at the Karolinska Institutet. And thank you for the privilege of meeting your master’s students, Matthew Kirkham!
